Marbling is one of a range of traditional paint effects available from Nicola Thwaites Specialist Decorating (London, UK).
Marbling involves paint techniques to create the depth, colour, and veining of real marble, adding elegance and opulence to any interior. This technique is typically applied to columns, pilasters, fireplaces, skirting boards, and other architectural elements. However, you can apply marbling wherever the look of marble is desired.
Marbling can be realistic (to match-in with existing marble accents). Or it can be rendered in a fantasy or naïve style. Our marbling projects include churches, private residences and commercial spaces.
Nicola Thwaites Specialist Decorating, London, provides bespoke paint finishes and a wide range of faux finishes. These are suitable for period properties, modern interiors, and repairs to existing specialist decorating schemes. In addition to marble effects, we offer faux finishes, colour washes and traditional colour glazes. Wood graining, stone blocking, gilding, fresco finishes, decorative painting, textured paint finishes, and painted decorative plaster are also available.
We work primarily in London, Sussex and the Home counties, serving interior designers, architects and private clients. View samples of our work by on our gallery pages or visit the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), where we are an Industry Partner.
