Nicola Thwaites Specialist Decorating, London, has nearly three decades of experience in heritage decoration and the enhancement of period interiors.

Traditional paint effects used in heritage decoration include wood graining, marbling, decorative painting, painted plaster, gilding, stipple and wipe, colour washes, faux fresco and stone blocking. We also advise on matching-in services.

We have worked on  historical building restoration ranging from a Jacobean manor to Georgian, Regency, Victorian, Arts & Crafts and Art Deco interiors.

Nicola Thwaites Specialist Decorating works with interior designers, architects and private clients. We are based primarily in London and the South.

Heritage projects include wood graining for King’s Observatory, Kew; Heritage Lottery Fund restoration for Watts Gallery; and church restoration and decoration at All Saints Church in Dulwich, London.
