Traditional Painted Glazes

Nicola Thwaites Specialist Decorating offers traditional painted glazes and other specialist decorative painting techniques such as stipple and wipe, gilding, wood graining, marbling, and faux finishes.

Traditional glazes can be used to restore decorative plasterwork. They can also give a period look to new or replacement mouldings and other architectural features, such as friezes, cornices, ceiling roses, pediments, pilasters and columns.

Marbling, dragging, colour washes, faux fresco finishes, metallic paint effects, antique patinas, and bespoke paint finishes are also available. We have worked extensively in Georgian, Victorian, Arts & Crafts, and Art Deco interiors.
